[Sanmenxia] The US-China Cultural and Arts Exchange Association, together with the University of Utah Valley Choir, conducted cultural exchanges at our college (Sanmenxia Vocational and Technical College).
Recently, Mr. Dong Rongcan, President of the Sino-US Cultural and Artistic Exchange Association, led a delegation of nearly 40 teachers and students from the University of Utah Valley, USA, on a friendly visit to our college at the invitation of Sanmenxia City. They were warmly welcomed by our faculty and students. Both sides spent an unforgettable time in a warm and friendly atmosphere, further strengthening the friendship between students from both universities and writing a significant chapter in the friendly exchanges between the two countries and schools. Sanmenxia University has appointed Dr. Dong Rongcan, president of the association, as a visiting professor, and Dr. Dong Rongcan will give a piano lecture.
Renowned pianist, musician, composer, and social activist Professor Dong Rongcan visited our college and delivered a wonderful music academic lecture to the faculty and students of the Department of Languages and Arts. During his lecture, Professor Dong Rongcan, with his erudition, refined manner, and patient guidance, shared his insights on music and life, revealing his deep affection for music, art, education, and his motherland, discussing topics such as music and life, keyboard and fingers, and music and the soul. The faculty and students, immersed in the melodious sounds of pieces like "The Butterfly Lovers," "Love Story," and "Little River Flowing," witnessed the brilliance of an artistic master and gained a deeper understanding of the boundless charm of music. It was as if they were wandering in a picturesque art palace, completely captivated. The atmosphere was lively, with faculty and students frequently expressing their profound respect for this virtuous and talented people's artist through prolonged applause. The college also awarded Professor Dong Rongcan a certificate of appointment as a visiting professor.
