The music album "Hand in Hand, Through Thick and Thin," composed and funded by US-based musician Dong Rongcan, encapsulates the entire process of the devastating earthquake, covering four key aspects: rescuing victims, surviving the ordeal, rebuilding homes, and the global connection between Chinese people. The album is like a concert of "disaster relief, reconstruction, and gratitude." With the emotionally charged narration of the performers: "Millions of buildings collapsed, but billions of hearts stood firm!" it proclaims to the world: "The Chinese nation is an indestructible Great Wall!" The album's emotions are gradually elevated and brought to a climax. Particularly inspiring is the album's theme song: the chorus "Hand in Hand, Through Thick and Thin," which expresses the nation's increased resilience and strength after the disaster. After recording and production, 10,000 albums were sent to tents and schools in disaster areas such as Mianyang and Beichuan.
