Speaker Introduction:In 1981, he graduated from the Piano Department and Composition Department of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, and studied under Professor Chen Gang, the composer of "Butterfly Lovers". His graduation work was performed by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra. Later, he joined the Shanghai Orchestra's creation group and served as a music reporter for the General Political Department's "Voice of the Strait" radio station. In 1986, he was named "National Outstanding Journalist for Taiwan Broadcasting". In 1985, he went to the United States to study and obtained a master's degree in composition and a doctorate in music education. In 1992, he held a solo concert at Carnegie Hall in New York and was hailed as the first Chinese to enter "Carnegie Hall". He has worked as an associate professor at New York University, Pace University, Manhattanville College, Brigham Young University and other institutions. He has been engaged in international cultural, artistic and educational exchanges for a long time, and is currently the president of the US-China Cultural and Art Exchange Association.
